Terms of Use

These terms cover how you use fusionmortgagegroup.com. They are written to be read, not to be skipped. If anything here is unclear, ask us and we will explain it in plain language.

01Who we are

Fusion Mortgage Group is the trade name used by Lisa Reynolds and Kelly Foote, licensed mortgage brokers in the province of Ontario.

Mortgage brokering services are provided through BRX Mortgage Inc., brokerage licence FSRA #13463, regulated by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario. Lisa Reynolds holds broker licence M15000477. Kelly Foote holds broker licence M21002713.

References to “we”, “us” and “our” on this site mean Fusion Mortgage Group operating under that brokerage licence.

02What this website is, and what it is not

Everything on this site is provided for general information only. It is not personalised mortgage advice, financial advice, legal advice, tax advice or accounting advice, and you should not treat it as any of those.

Reading this site does not create a broker and client relationship between us. That relationship begins only when you engage us directly and we confirm it, and it is governed by the documents you sign at that point rather than by this page.

Nothing on this site is an offer of credit, a commitment to lend, or a promise that any lender will approve you. Approvals depend on a full application, verified documents, the property itself, and the lender’s own criteria at the time.

03Calculators, tools and examples

Our calculators, planners and interactive tools are estimates built for illustration. They make assumptions, and your real numbers will differ.

They do not account for every cost in a mortgage transaction, they do not reflect any specific lender’s underwriting, and a result from one of them is never an approval or a quote. Any figures shown in an example are labelled as illustrative and carry their assumptions with them.

We do not publish interest rates on this site. Where we reference the Bank of Canada rate, we link to the Bank of Canada as the source. Rates available to you depend on your file, the lender and the market on the day, and any number you see elsewhere should be confirmed with us before you rely on it.

04Where we can help

We are licensed in Ontario and can arrange mortgages on properties in Ontario. Lisa is in the Hamilton area and Kelly is in Niagara, and we both work across the province.

If you are outside Ontario, we are glad to point you toward someone licensed where you are, but we cannot act for you ourselves.

05Your information

How we collect, use, store and protect personal information is set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

When you submit a form, book a call or start an application through this site, you are giving us the information you enter so that we can respond to you and, where you ask us to, work on a mortgage for you. Please do not send us documents containing sensitive personal or financial information by ordinary email. We will give you a secure way to send them.

06Email and messages

If you give us your contact details, you are consenting to hear from us about your enquiry and about mortgage matters we think are relevant to you, in line with Canada’s anti-spam legislation.

You can stop at any time. Every marketing email we send carries an unsubscribe link, and you can also reply to any message or write to us at the address below and ask to be removed. We will action it. Messages that relate directly to a mortgage file you have with us are service messages rather than marketing, and those continue while your file is open.

07Other people’s websites and tools

This site links out to other organisations, and it uses third party tools for things like booking, applications, analytics and reviews. Those services have their own terms and their own privacy practices.

We link to a site because we think it is useful, not because we control it or vouch for everything on it. We are not responsible for content, availability or practices on websites we do not run.

08Our content

The writing, design, photography, tools and branding on this site belong to us or to the people we licensed them from, and are protected by copyright and trademark law.

You are welcome to read it, print it and share a link to it. You may quote a short passage with attribution and a link back. Please do not republish substantial parts of it, sell it, or use it to train or populate another product without asking us first. We are usually happy to say yes.

09Using the site properly

Please do not attempt to break into, overload, scrape at volume, or interfere with this site or the services behind it, and please do not submit forms with information that is not yours or is deliberately false.

10Accessibility

We want this site to work for everyone, and we build it with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act in mind. If you hit something that does not work for you, tell us and we will fix it and get you the information another way in the meantime.

11If something goes wrong

If you are unhappy with something we have done, tell us first. Most things are resolved fastest by talking to us directly, and you can reach us at the address below.

As a licensed brokerage, BRX Mortgage Inc. also maintains a formal complaints process, and complaints can be escalated to the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario.

12Limits on our responsibility

We work hard to keep this site accurate and current, but we cannot promise it is free of errors or that it will always be available. Lending rules, government programs and product criteria change often, and a page can fall out of date between reviews.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from your reliance on general information published here, as opposed to advice we gave you directly on your own file. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and nothing here limits our obligations to you as your brokerage once you engage us.

13Changes to these terms

We may update this page as our business, our tools or the rules change. The date at the top always shows the current version, and the version in force is the one published when you use the site.

14Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the laws of Canada that apply in it. The courts of Ontario have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
